Heidelberg Materials is seeking responsible, safe, and dependable Labourers to join our local team. As a Labourer you will support plant needs by ensuring a safe and productive work environment. In this position, you will have the opportunity to use different skills every day as you learn the precast pipe industry.

What You’ll Get To Do
- Learn the production of concrete pipe and structures
- Maintain cleanliness of plant work areas and working with a team
- Assist with plant tasks that will require to able to lift 50lbs
- Cutting rebar assembling steel and tack welding, housekeeping
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures; assist with physical inspections of plant property/departments.
What We Are Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in construction labourer would be preferred but willing to train
- Experience using (or ability to learn) plant mobile equipment
- Desire to work cooperatively as part of a productive team
- Ability to work safely, and independently without constant supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Capable of learning through on the job training
- Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions
- In good physical condition, able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders.
- Ability to work different extended hours, holidays and/or overtime required
