Overview of role:
The Senior Engineer is accountable to design, develop, implement, and support integration platforms/solutions. This role will collaborate closely with data analytics, cybersecurity, architecture, and product engineering teams.
You are the technical lead of our integration platforms, solutions, and delivery partners, leveraging modern practices and tooling to enable our business.
Key deliverables / responsibilities include:
- Design & develop integration solutions, platforms, guidelines, and standards
- Develop and deliver quality code driving best practices, knowledge documentation and sharing
- Partner with architecture to create detailed designs
- Guides and mentors’ technical staff, and provides advice to management
- Collaborate with technical leaders and developers on enterprise solutions
- Provide recommendations for the integration roadmap related to solutions, platforms, resiliency, scalability, and security
- Participate in requirements gathering and analysis for multiple productsinitiatives
- Serves as an advisor to management and drives appropriate actions, while ensuring implementation of compliance and communication protocols
- Engage in daily stand ups, requirements/estimation sessions, code reviews and sprint retrospectives
- Provide developer technical support for complex platforms/solutions
- Often operates in ambiguous situations and provides original/innovative process/technical guidance to others
- Regularly makes decisions under minimal guidance that have a significant impact on the organization
Experience and qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, and 8+ years’ experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- 5+ years Azure cloud experience (API Management, Logic Apps, Function Apps, Service Bus, and AKS)
- 5+ years working with agile DevOps teams
- 8+ years of developer experience preferred
- 5+ years leading technical delivery
- Expert knowledge of Microservices, containers, and server-less workloads
- Experience mentoring/coaching developers and students
- Broad knowledge of all aspects of IT, including application development, network and system administration, quality assurance, and application and data management
- Requires expert problem-solving skills and advanced interpersonal and communication skills including influencing others
- Hands-on experience in platform configuration, policy fine-tuning, optimization, and maintenance
- Nice to have: IBM MQ, IIB and DP experience
