Are you a Mechanical Design Technician with experience in mechanical design and have advanced knowledge on using SOLIDWORKS?
Our partner is one of the top manufacturers and importers in their field in Canada and they’re looking for a creative and motivated Mechanical Engineer Technician to join their team.

Your main responsibilities:
– Perform 2D and 3D design of systems and mechanical parts
– Create shop drawings for manufacturing in plant
– Establish the list of materials that the sales department must quote to customers by drawing up the architect’s plan
– Evaluate the material and labor required by estimating the cost of parts and projects
– Develop manufacturing methods for projects undertaken
– Enhance the use of material to reduce waste
– Calculate tolerance of parts and mechanical assemblies
– Provide active support of the production of projects and prototypes for functional testing
– Develop efficiency and improve engineering design methods through the PDM tool
– Maintain the department’s technical documentation
The ideal candidate for this role:
– Experience in mechanical design
– Ability to read plans
– SOLIDWORKS and MS Office suite requires
– At least 1-3 years of experience required
