About the Position
The Director of Graduate Outcomes is responsible for leading and managing the team that helps Juno graduates land exciting new careers in the tech industry. There are two key components to Juno’s Graduate Outcomes team: Career Services and Employer Relations. The Director of Graduate Outcomes is responsible for Juno’s Career Services strategy, ensuring graduates are equipped with the knowledge, tools and mindset to run an effective job search. Reporting to the Director of Graduate Outcomes, Juno’s three Career Success Specialists deliver educational sessions, keep graduates accountable and motivated through weekly meetings, and amplify the efforts of job seekers by bringing new leads and creative ideas to the table, and following up with employer’s on behalf of grads. Employer Relations is handled by the Director of Graduate Outcomes directly – reaching out to partners and potential employers, hosting meetings to discover needs, referring graduates and maintaining dozens of relationships at any given time.
The Graduate Outcomes team’s success is measured by graduate placement rates – we aim to place 60-70% of students by 3 months post-graduation and 80-90% by six months. It is our goal to provide our community with an unmatched combination of specialized career development combined with caring, human-centered support and it is truly rewarding work.
Reporting to our CEO and with three direct reports, the Director of Graduate Outcomes represents Outcomes on the Juno Leadership Team and also sits at the table on Juno’s Product Team, to ensure the Outcomes strategy aligns with the broader student experience strategy and execution. Additionally, long-term job seekers (6+ months past graduation), and alumni returning for support in finding their next role are supported by the Director of Graduate Outcomes.
For this role, we’re seeking someone with management experience who has been in a Careers-related role where they had to meet targets. If you’re a Careers professional with management experience and the desire to grow into a leadership role, this position could be a great fit for you! Additionally, you should be comfortable delivering specific and actionable feedback. You should be detail-oriented or have proven workarounds if you’re more of a ‘big picture’ kind of person. You should enjoy collaborating with your team and across departments. Empathy would make you a great manager for this team and a great champion for our job seeker community.
Please note that for this role we are seeking a candidate who lives in the GTA and would be able to spend a full day in Toronto up to once per week – either for team events, team working days or to support in-person operations.
