The Policy Branch of the Ministry of Agriculture has a challenging opportunity for a highly-motivated, organized, and confident individual to be responsible for office support; including receptionist and clerical support, in a fast paced environment. Our candidate of choice will be a flexible and positive individual who enjoys challenging environment with diverse job expectations.
As the successful candidate, you will proofread, edit, and format a variety of letters, memos, briefing notes and cabinet documents; assist internal staff in day to day office support; and balance a variety of items under tight deadlines. You will be required to accurately enter information into SharePoint Online; receive, sort and distribute incoming mail; and manage Branch invoices. You will respond to inquires made in person or by telephone from a variety of government agencies, clients and the general public. You will troubleshoot, maintain and/or arrange for repair of a variety of office equipment.
Our candidate of choice will be a strong team player, a self starter and have strong computer skills to create accurate documents using a variety of software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint Online. You will have effective office management practices and procedures. You will require the ability to accurately complete multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines with multiple reporting relationships. The candidate will bring good communication skills both verbally and written to respond to inquiries from the public and other government branches and ministries.

Typically, qualifications for this position would be obtained through a diploma in office education or office administration, and/or related experience.
