It’s an exciting time to work in sport! Formerly a solely membership-based organization, Sport Nova Scotia has a new, expanded mandate to serve all Nova Scotians. With a renewed emphasis on leadership and collaboration, the organization is also stepping up its efforts to measure and track the supports and resources it administers. At the same time Sport Nova Scotia is supporting a province-wide initiative to explore innovative ways to reach more Nova Scotian communities and individuals through the power of sport.
What does all of this really mean? We need more great people working in sport. Today we are seeking a highly collaborative individual to fill the position of Director of Finance and Administration. Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Finance and Administration will be based out of Halifax and will be responsible for stewarding the finances and administration of the organization to enable SNS to provide valuable services and to meet all organizational, provincial, and federal regulations.
The successful candidate will have a Degree in Commerce or Business Administration with Major in Accounting, a minimum five years’ experience in accounting and CPA Designation is required. Technical Skills include Microsoft Office Suite, Sage300 & Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
