About the Role

The OCS is looking for a Operations Analytics Manager to lead a team of (Senior) Supply Chain Data Analyst(s) and collaborate cross functionally to enhance business intelligence capabilities by creating new reports and enhancing existing reports. The Operations Analytics Manager will be responsible for requirements gathering, execution and testing phases to enable reporting capabilities. They will also act as a subject matter expect for key analytics initiatives and data related questions.

About Your Day

• Design the conceptual, logical, and physical data models necessary to support the analytic data requirements for Operations reporting needs
• Write & run SQL queries to pull data from multiple databases
• Analyze Operations data, identify trends, and create reports, dashboards or visualizations with the data using Power BI DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
• Create, maintain & verify accuracy of dashboards, and data tables/views on a SQL Microsoft server for use by the whole department to make business decisions from
• Utilize computer systems and databases in order to research and analyze unexpected or emerging data/trends
• Train Supply Chain Data Analysts in technical components and concepts
• Partner with Data Engineers to implement and support production of analytical data models
• Act as a subject matter expert regarding Operations Data and share best practices
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities
• Provide guidance and share expertise with other project team members to support breakthrough business initiatives
• Create reports & data visualizations to meet business requirements/specifications, including for senior leadership, for strategic initiatives
• Participate or facilitate design/requirement sessions for new reports as required
• Collaborate closely with Supply Chain Data Analysts and support creation of new reports as well as adjustments to existing reports based on business needs
• Ensure that appropriate steps are executed for new report creation or adjusting existing reports and follow up with stakeholders as required
• Ensure that the new or adjusted reports indeed meet the aligned requirements and support the report testing process as needed
• In conjunction with HR; Hire, develop and inspire a highly qualified team of professionals.
• Foster a culture of innovation, transparency and accountability within the department and throughout the OCS.
• Leverage OCS Core Competencies to support people leadership objectives.
• Ensure that the team has the competence and skills to execute business-critical projects by partnering with L&D to create learning plans.

About You

• Completion of post-secondary education in statistics or related field of study OR equivalent combination of experience and post-secondary education
• 6+ years of professional experience in data analytics related role with a focus on using hard data/metrics, statistical techniques, and root cause analysis to support business
• Cross-functional project experience with demonstrated partnerships with Data Engineers to implement and support production of analytical data models
• Experience in training multiple Data Analysts with demonstrated track record of success
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft SQL or Oracle, and Operations systems (e.g. WMS, ERP or F&R)
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Power BI (creating dashboards and reports)
• Expert knowledge of Power BI DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong computer skills including knowledge of Excel, Word, Access, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills combined with customer focus and resiliency

Remote Work

• This position offers a Hybrid work schedule. You will be required to be in the office a minimum of 1 day each week, with the ability to work from home for the remaining workdays (subject to specific business needs requiring office attendance).
• When working from home, a reliable internet connection is required. Remote work is supported with cloud-based applications and collaboration tools (i.e., MS Teams)
