What you’ll be doing:
Planning, directing and overseeing the operations of the detail department.
Responsible for sustaining the operational efficiency of the department and its day-to-day operations.
Utilize internal detail orders and pre-delivery inspections/checks to help reach production goals and complete internal work in a timely manner.
Customer interaction to determine needs and facilitate appropriate recommendations.
Provide additional support to the other departments as required.
Dispatching work to employees to ensure promised completion times are achieved.
Performing quality control inspections to ensure standards are achieved and maintained.
Inspect finished product thoroughly and report any discrepancies appropriately.
Maintain shop capacity, efficiency and productivity.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
What we need from you:
Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience in a leadership role.
Prior experience and knowledge in detailing processes and procedures.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.
Organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
Ability to manage deadlines and establish priority to ensure completion and readiness.
Ability to set effective and efficient time schedules and prioritize workflow.
Ability to think strategically about ways of enhancing departmental performance and productivity.
Desire to exceed customer expectations.
The ability to effectively respond to and meet the needs of a diverse client base.
Very precise attention to details.
Valid BC Driver’s License, with a clean driver’s abstract.
