Our client is looking for a Customer Service/Order Entry Specialist who will be providing exceptional service to their customers, troubleshooting and managing customer queries, liaison with inter-company departments and co-ordinating purchasing activities. You must have strong data entry skills, for executing order processing in a timely manner.
If you are a self-starting and highly motivated individual, with the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment and take on more responsibilities as experience is gained, then this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
– Interface with customers to assess and understand their specific needs and provide solutions
regarding orders, deliveries, installation, service requests, and general client concerns
– Answer communication from colleagues regarding any production, delivery, and product issues
– Process, price and enter orders, across all business channels, accurately and in a timely manner, this includes using all tools, documents and POs made available to assist with order entry
– Adhere to key KPIs set up to assess performance
– Determine purchasing requirements based on operational demand, this includes reviewing stock levels via ERP reports as well as communicating with the production floor and issuing POs as needed
– Establish purchasing timelines, and communicate effectively with user teams and vendors
– Ensure minimum safety stocks are maintained across different SKUs
– Execute any other related duties that may be requested from time to time by the Operations Supervisor
Requirements:
– 1-3 years of experience in a customer service/sales support and order entry role within a product-oriented environment
– College or University education is preferred
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with customers
– Proficiency in using MS Office Suite applications (Excel, Outlook, Word)
– Experience working with an ERP system is a plus
– Strong work ethic and willingness to learn about new products
– Excellent time management, organizational and troubleshooting skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
– Exposure to construction industry or building materials/products would be an asset
– Ability to effectively process order entries and queries in a timely fashion
