Share Lawyers is a nationally recognized Long Term Disability Law Firm, with over 35-years of experience serving Canadians across the country. This is an exciting opportunity to join a seasoned Team that is focused on helping people fight insurance companies to get the Disability Benefits they deserve.
The Intake Team is a first point of contact for individuals wishing to hire a lawyer to fight an insurance claim. As a brand ambassador for Share Lawyers, the Intake Team plays an integral role by obtaining preliminary client information. The Intake Team uses consultative selling, while providing emotional support to potential clients, with the goal of providing seamless entry into the legal process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answers inquiry calls/chats/emails/texts in a timely manner and assesses eligibility for further assessment.
- Provides information about the services available or provides information/referral to external providers as appropriate.
- Completes Salesforce intake information, prepares retainer agreements, opens files and undertakes other administrative work as necessary.
- Proactively manages potential clients up until the potential client becomes a client of the firm and takes responsibility for managing own caseload and follow-ups etc.
- Maintains open communication with other Team members regarding client cases.
- Books appointments with Intake Lawyers, as required.
- Is flexible to the changing demands of the business unit, including changes in process or the addition of duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic (Required) Qualifications
- Ability to commute to the firm’s office in Toronto (Yonge and Lawrence). This is not a Work from Home Position.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma.
- 2-3 years of sales and customer service experience, in a professional services setting, e.g. law firm, insurance company, bank, financial services company, pharmaceuticals etc. This is a mandatory requirement for this position.
- Highly skilled and personable communicator, fluent in English, with a strong ability to interact effectively with all potential clients. Being bilingual or multilingual would be considered an asset.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and influence (written and verbal).
- Excellent communication and teamwork.
- Self-motivated, with a drive for over-performance and a strong desire to help people in crisis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of STD/LTD/Disability Benefits/Insurance claims would be an asset.
- Experience in the Personal Injury field would also be considered an asset.
- Experience with Salesforce.
- Proven success in overachieving quotas and targets.
