About the Position
As the Human Resource Coordinator, you report to the Senior HR Manager and will be responsible for providing full human resources support for our Mississauga, Ontario location as well as some support for our Vancouver, BC location. Your primary responsibilities will include new hire orientation, leave management, offboarding and liaison with our 3rd party payroll and benefits provider. Additionally, you will provide administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. Our ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, hyper-organized, and proactive problem-solver.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide HR support to the Canadian office.
- Ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new hires by conducting new hire orientation.
- Respond to questions, requests and concerns from employees and management regarding company and Human Resources policies and guidelines.
- Liaison with 3rd party payroll and benefits provider to ensure the payroll is updated with all required information in a timely manner and to ensure all benefit information is up to date.
- Manage the leave management process.
- Processing of terminations/off-boarding process.
- Manage the health and safety program.

Provide administrative support to the HR department, as needed, in areas such as research,
record-keeping
, file maintenance, and
HRIS entry/reporting.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with provincial legislation and employment laws.
- Assists in preparation of correspondence as requested.
- Maintain confidentiality of and security of employee files and information.
- Other office related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education preferably in Business Administration or Human Resources.
- 2+ years in a Human Resources, administrative or customer service field
- Experience with ATS or HRIS system, preferably Workday
- Intermediate to Advanced skill level using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Ability to work effectively in situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities and/or simultaneous demands.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit, highly collaborative, able to express ideas readily, able to influence and identify opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with the Health and Safety/JHSC within an office environment an asset.
- Prior benefits administration experience an asset.
- CHRP designation or working towards designation is an asset.
Regional Requirements
This role is currently a remote position, however when it is time to return to office this will be a Hybrid role and will require a few days in the office per week.
