The Human Resources Administrative Services Team supports employees throughout their entire life-cycle at Simon Fraser University. The team is responsible for posting jobs, onboarding, personnel changes, benefits, offboarding, and advising employees on the many facets of employment with the university. This team provides professional, approachable, and accurate support to staff members across multiple employee groups by keeping the people experience at the forefront of all that we do.
About the Role
The Human Resources Associate is responsible for providing Human Resources services to faculty and staff from an assigned portfolio of academic and non-academic departments across the University. The Associate processes all staffing changes within their assigned portfolio, including job changes and benefits and provides advice to employees of the University in regards to a broad range of employment queries including: pay, benefits, employment policies, systems access, terminations and leaves. The role is responsible for employee benefit advising and enrollment, as well as benefit records management for all employee groups.
The Human Resources Administrative Services Team is seeking someone with experience in working with a Human Resources Information System (preferably PeopleSoft). This person should bring a demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities with strict deadlines. They should be capable of working independently while also supporting the goals of the larger-team.
