OCS Looking for Financial Analyst – Finance at Toronto, ON Full Time

About the Role

We are recruiting for a Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team. As a Financial Analyst, you will use your financial acumen and experience working with business data to drive insights that inform decision making. You will work in collaboration with other departments to support their financial needs related to projects and initiatives. You will harness your expertise in PowerBI to support the growing needs for adaptive dashboarding within the Financial Planning & Analysis team resulting in supporting the company’s growth overall. You will find innovative ways to report on project and initiative spending and communicate with the organization while maintaining transparency across all platforms. In addition, you will assist in preparing a wide range of Ad hoc reports and streamlining existing processes.

About Your Day

• Foster and develop strategic business partnerships with functional and departmental leaders across OCS
• Complete monthly/quarterly/annual variance analysis and provide reports to the different business units related to projects and initiatives
• Provide management with timely ad hoc financial analysis and reports as needed (i.e. cost analysis, budget reviews, forecasting and business analytics)
• Develop, track, and maintain reporting on initiative spending and KPIs against budgets and procurement authorizations
• Assist with the development and monitoring of the budget, forecast, and dashboards
• Develop new processes and reporting using BI tools to gain a better understanding of SG&A spend and variances
• Identify, quantify and address areas of risk and opportunities within projects and initiatives
• Identify and execute against projects that deepen business insight and drive value within the OCS

About You

• Post-secondary education in Business Administration / Finance or related fields.
• Experience, knowledge and skills in Microsoft analysis tools such as, Power BI, OneStream
• 3+ years of experience in finance and/or project management
• Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis will be a strong asset
• Strong analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills to provide professional analysis and recommendations
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an asset
• Strong technical and analytical skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
• Proficiency in Jira and/or other project management / tracking solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented and strong organizational skills

Remote Work

• This position offers a Hybrid work schedule. You will be required to be in the office a minimum of 1 day each week, with the ability to work from home for the remaining workdays (subject to specific business needs requiring office attendance).
• When working from home, a reliable internet connection is required. Remote work is supported with cloud-based applications and collaboration tools (i.e., MS Teams)
