Securiguard is looking for a Receptionist for our Downtown office. Our ideal candidate is someone who is self-starter, who is people-oriented and with strong customer service skills. As the first point of contact over phone, email, or in-person to clients, staff, or visitors, you will be a brand ambassador for Securiguard. This opportunity is great for an experienced receptionist or administrator looking to join a growing, values-based company.
This is a full-time position with extended health and dental benefits. This position will be based in Surrey for the first few months, and then as we move into our brand new office space will be based in Burnaby from June onwards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answers telephone and provides information in accordance with company policy; screens calls and takes messages
- Greets visitors, inquires the nature of their business, and directs them to appropriate parties
- Keeps lobby area clean and presentable on a daily basis
- Opens and distributes general company mail and other material
- Responsible for keeping up to date the uniform inventory and ensures the uniform room is always organized
- Issues uniforms to new employees upon hire
- Issues photo identification cards to new employees
- Manages office supply ordering and distribution
- Provides support to the People and Culture team, including filing and assisting with other administrative tasks
Required Qualifications:
- Customer service experience is a must
- Ability to work in a busy environment, with strong multi-tasking skill and the ability to prioritize
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in human resources, business, administration, or other related fields is an asset
- Alignment with Securiguard’ s core values (Respect, Empathy, Accountability, Courtesy & Honesty)
- Strong communications skills and a mature mindset
- Experience with HRIS or ATS programs would be considered an asset.
