About The Role
David Ogilvy famously said, “The way up the ladder is open for everyone.”
We’re looking for talent who are insatiably curious and observant. Creative problem-solvers and “dot connectors” who love new experiences and sometimes feel like there’s never enough time for all they want to see, read, make, and DO.
Ogilvy creative interns get briefed on real client projects with the opportunity to compete and/or collaborate with all levels of our creative team including ACDs, CDs, possibly even CCOs. Since it’s all real client work, an intern’s project load is based on the actual client work flowing through the office during the 12 weeks of the program.
Creative interns act as our junior level staff, so they must be ready to jump right in, deliver on their craft and prove themselves.
The intention at the end of our program is to offer full-time or freelance, as long the agency finances and workflow make it possible. Historically, we’ve had as high as a 70% conversion rate.
Bottom line: the overall goal is for interns to walk away with real client experience and work in their books.
What We’re Looking For
Calling all ‘Big Idea’ thinkers! Talent who can come up with conceptual ideas and can translate a simple concept into a variety of mediums and channels. Great collaborators who know how to partner well with a copywriter and if necessary, can help direct a team of specialists to convey a vision. You know how to be scrappy too, if needed – you are a ‘Maker’ and ‘Do-er”. Ogilvy sets the bar high for taste level and craft, so we expect quality from anyone who wants to join the team.
The Fine Print
This year’s program allows the opportunity to be in-office and we would prefer candidates to be within a commutable distance. This is a full time, paid internship.
How We’ll Support You
Ogilvy celebrates its people. Fully. Enthusiastically. Unhesitatingly. We’ll empower you with the tools you’ll need to succeed. We’ll give you the autonomy to seek out new paths and better ways of doing things. We’ll support you with colleagues who are experts in their disciplines, drawn from across the Ogilvy network. And we’ll provide opportunities for you to do work of which you’ll be proud, with people you’ll be proud to call your teammates.
