Working as a navigational officer on Canada’s scenic West Coast, you will be able to leverage your technical skills while connecting people to the places and people that matter. If a dynamic environment comprised of leading junior team members and challenging navigation; all within your home community; appeals to you, this is your place.
In this position you will stand a watch as the Navigating Officer of the vessel. You possess considerable knowledge of state of the art navigating equipment and techniques; international, federal and provincial regulations applicable to the position and you are adept at working within strong corporate policies and processes. Your knowledge of safety and emergency procedures and ship handling principles are stellar and your ability to lead a team has been commended.
As duties will vary depending on business requirements, a flexible attitude is essential. You are extremely safety-conscious. You hold a valid Chief Mate, Near Coastal Certificate or higher and Valid Seafarer’s Medical certificate.
