Royal Ontario Museum
Location: Toronto, ON, Canada
Contract (May 15, 2023 – September 4, 2023)
Responsibilities:
- Identify and catalogue archaeological objects to help preserve cultural heritage.
- Use digital imaging hardware and software to create high-quality images of objects for documentation and sharing.
- Add object information to a collection management database to make it accessible to stakeholders worldwide.
- Collaborate with museum archaeologists to ensure the accuracy and consistency of cataloging work.
- Share your work on the museum’s online collections website, reaching a global audience.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an archaeology, anthropology, or related degree program.
- Experience or familiarity with databases and digital imaging is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring the cataloged objects are documented correctly.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet project deadlines and goals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with museum archaeologists to achieve project objectives.
- Available to work full-time for the duration of the project.
