Our studio is located in the heart of Strathcona in Vancouver.
How are we Working?
In Vancouver, we are currently piloting a program called Flexwork. This program provides our Team 3 different options for how they want to work that range from full time in the studio all the way to fully remote. We will focus on having teams meet in person in our studio for specific connection meetings, working sessions and events. Together we will be creating processes, workflows, and a culture that supports hybrid and flexible working while driving productivity, building connection, belonging, trust, and alignment
This is a great opportunity for a revisionist looking for that stepping stone in becoming a Storyboard Artist.
Job Duties:
- Communicating ideas effectively and producing solutions to visually interpret verbal, written or drawn revision notes
- Anticipating, communicating, and troubleshooting any creative or technical issues when addressing clients revision notes
- Quickly and efficiently producing clean appealing, well thought-out revisions and/or new sequences as needed
- Using existing templates and following established formatting guidelines and naming conventions
- Assisting Board Supervisor as necessary
- Any other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 2+ years experience as a Storyboard Artist or Revisionist for a 3D animated series
- Outstanding drawing skills and sense of appeal, design, character and composition
- Strong understanding of storytelling principles and techniques
- Strong posing, acting, and dramatic and comedic timing skills
- Ability to receive constructive feedback in a professional and positive manner
- Creative problem solving skills
- Accountability for the work you produce
- You enjoy troubleshooting and finding solutions to storytelling problems
- Ability to work digitally (Cintiq with Photoshop, etc.)
- Knowledge of Storyboard Pro is an asset
