The Warehouse and Inventory Coordinator’s main role will be to support the daily operations of the warehouse department. This is a full-time summer position, and part-time flexibility between September and April.
Working conditions:
Shift from 6:00am-2:00pm, Monday-Friday
Workplace: Rivière-des-Prairies (9225 Henri-Bourassa Blvd East)
Responsibilities:
Coordinate the schedule of receipts and shipments and follow up with the carriers
Plan the transportation of goods and finished products
Support supervisors in the assignment of manpower required for operational needs
Support supervisors with tasks involving the use of APEX, CIS, and ORACLE systems
Perform various product movements in the inventory system
Report non-conforming products upon receipt
Perform raw material and trailer counts
Analyze inventory discrepancies
Respond to various requests from suppliers and internal personnel
And any other task(s) required
Requirements:
In the process of obtaining a degree in logistics or equivalent
Experience in a unionized work environment in distribution and/or warehouse (an asset)
Analytical and problem solving skills
Organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work under pressure
Proficiency in MS Office systems, primarily Excel
Experience and/or interest in the WMS-APEX system
Strong interpersonal skills
