A man living in Pickering is looking for a Support Worker to provide support in his own home. If you enjoy working with people and support a person’s roles, building community connections, being empathetic to health issues and providing long-term commitment, this could be the position for you.
As a Support Worker you will possess mindful observation skills and pay attention to details. You deeply listen and are open to understanding body language and non-verbal cues. You work well independently and as part of an interdependent team. You have a strong willingness to learn and follow the lead of the family.
In this role you will assist the gentleman with full personal care, medication administration, meal prep, laundry, general household task and venturing out into the community.
Compassion, patience and support of this man’s seizures, health and safety is extremely important.
Availability Required:
Saturdays
Daytime 8am-1pm
Hourly Rate for day shift: $17 – $18
Vulnerable sector police check, and valid drivers’ licence is required for this position.
References required
This is a Self-employed Independent Support Worker position. This* position works directly with a family and all scheduling and training is family led.*
