Vitesco Technologies Canada, ULC Looking for Associate/Electrical Engineer at Chatham-Kent, ON Full Time

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Architect, design, simulate, validate, and maintain embedded electronics solutions for automotive (sensors & actuators) products
• Create schematics, supervise and approve PCB layouts ensuring PCB layout is optimized for EMI/RFI, Environmental and ESD performance
• Have direct experience in the design and evaluation of mixed signal boards with embedded microcontrollers and standard automotive interfaces (LIN, CAN, SENT, PWM) for communication with the ECU
• Carry out design calculations including worst case and thermal analysis using ECAD tools such as MATHCAD and PSpice for electrical circuit simulations
• Generate Hardware/Software interface requirements based on design concept and customer requirements
• Write validation test plans for all phases of the projects and support vehicle level bench testing activities and report findings
• Lead DFMEA & DFSS activities to ensure ease of design activities and technical compliance of the product on schedule and on budget
• Maintain appropriate design documentation and use company-designated design guidelines and keep up to date with new standards in the automotive industry

• Work with system definition, software development teams, internal and external customers, project managers, and technical project leaders in other disciplines and adhere to

timing plan for key milestones

• Have a proven ability to solve problems and innovate in a dynamic environment
• Be able to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 3-5 years design experience in electronics design, product design, consumer products, automotive, or other related industry.
• B.Sc, B.Eng or M.Eng degree in Electrical/Electronic or Computer Engineering
• Excellent analysis skills in troubleshooting electronic module failures
• Good problem solving skills, including hands-on debugging of electronic circuits
• Experience with software development processes using 8/16/32bit microcontrollers (Microchip, Freescale)
• Experience with field-oriented control of high performance brushless DC motor is an asset
• A solid understanding of engineering and electrical design principles
• A sound knowledge of both digital and analogue design

Valid Driver’s license and passport are required.

Salary: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
