The opportunity
The role of the Infrastructure Analyst is to plan and coordinate the design, installation and connectivity of IT infrastructure components and systems to ensure stable use of IT assets. This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all existing or new hardware, software and communications services. The IT Infrastructure Analyst will lead project activities to improve the communications infrastructure and provide technical leadership to other team members.
Your role
-Develop, recommend and implement cost-effective solutions;
-Identify business issues within existing global networks and undertake design improvement;
-Provide superior level support, guidance and coaching to other members of the technical team;
-Provide network operational support as well as occasional on-call evening and weekend support;
-Manage the data center;
-Provide support to the company’s sites globally.
Your personality and skills
-College diploma in network management or Bachelor’s degree in computer science;
-CCNA and/or CCNP certification(s), considered an asset;
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise systems administration;
-High level of critical thinking to successfully solve complex problems;
-In-depth experience with Cisco switches, routers, firewalls and other related network monitoring tools;
-In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networks, data communication, network infrastructure and operating systems, domain name system networks and Internet protocols (SMTP, HTTP, SNMP, VoIP, Windows Domain services);
-In-depth knowledge of virtualization environments, including VMware;
-In-depth knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems;
-Knowledge of all aspects of Windows Server, including Windows DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, IIS, WDS, WSUS, Terminal Server and other Windows components and services;
-Experience with Azure and Office 365;
-Knowledge of wireless technology, considered an asset;
-Knowledge of Commvault and Unitrend backup programs, considered an asset;
-Experience with NetApp and HP SAN environments, considered an asset;
-Experience with firewall technologies, considered an asset;
-Effective verbal and written communication skills and fluently bilingual (English and French).
