Role Summary
The Accounting Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of vendor invoices, vendor management, monitor aging vendor balances, and payment management, invoicing, and cash collections.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for full cycle AP/AR processing and validating correct approvals are received
Ensure all documents are prepared and validated for the Accounts Payable cheque runs
Assist in the posting of accounts to the general ledger for accounts receivable, cash receipts, accounts payable, and cash disbursements
Monitor aging vendor balance and recommendations for payments
Perform assigned month-end reconciliations functions
Generating reports and statements as per management requests
Ad hoc duties as assigned
Qualifications
Excellent attention to detail, records management and problem solving skills
1-3 years of experience in an AP/Accounting Administrative role
Education in Accounting ideal
Strong data entry with skill and accuracy including organizational skills
Proficiency in MS Excel is required and working knowledge of MS Word and Outlook
Effective interpersonal and strong ability to build relationships
Adaptable to changing business conditions and a fast-paced work environment
Previous experience in a multi-company environment is an asset
