Senior Environmental Planner

Hatch is currently looking for Environmental Planners who are ready to take their career to the next level. Qualifications and Experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Planning or related discipline;
10 years of relevant experience;
Experience in the application of environmental assessment processes;
Knowledge and experience in obtaining environmental permits and approvals requirements, natural heritage policies and protocols and environmental legislation; and
Experience in engaging with clients.
The Role:
Engage with clients to develop and execute work plans;
Manage baseline environmental studies, environmental assessments, environmental management strategies, and plans including research, report writing, field work, and stakeholder and regulatory consultation;
Coordinate work with other environmental specialists (i.e. noise, air, archaeology, built heritage, fisheries, terrestrial ecologists, etc.).
Collect and synthesize scientific literature, existing data sets and secondary source material for technical reports;
Lead and support permitting, and approvals related to the natural environment (e.g.,Environmental Protection Act, Fisheries Act, Impact Assessment Act); and
Deliver high-quality environmental services to agreed budgets and deadlines.
