Fujitsu Looking for Researcher, Next Generation Computing Technology at Ontario Full Time

■ Researcher in Next Generation Computing Technology

• Responsibilities

• Research in the field of computer architecture to build a next generation computer system which bring us a computing innovation.

• Joint work with Japanese team to make a new technology in computer architecture.

• To seek opportunity to make new relationship with vendors interested in collaborating to realize innovation with computing technology such as IT drug discovery or material informatics and help collaboration work with them.

• To seek opportunity of joint work with startup companies to make a PoC work in North America or Europe to prove business possibility using our new computing technologies.

• Minimum Qualification

• Master’s degree in computer science or a related field. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.

• Basic knowledge in software and hardware of computer systems.

• Basic communication skills in English.

• Preferred Qualification

• Doctoral degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

• Knowledge about computer architecture including technology of modern microprocessor and accelerators.

• Knowledge about basic software technology to run the program on the hardware such as compiler, runtime routines and libraries.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Note that this position is in Toronto, Canada and for logistical reasons employee will be hired through Fujitsu’s local company in Toronto – Fujitsu Consulting Canada, Inc. The employee’s reporting structure, job responsibilities, HR policies,, compensation, etc. will all be decided by Fujitsu Research.
