Our client has been serving customers since 1920. Our client provides cleaning solutions for industries such as Food & Beverage, Water Treatment and Heavy Industrial settings. They are actively seeking Logistics Coordinator’s to join their growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Professional customer service and interaction with customers, suppliers, and related internal departments
- Set-up shipments as required.
- Assist and report to Warehouse Supervisor.
- Communicate effectively with customers and clients through outbound and inbound calls.
- Package products before to prepare shipments.
- Effectively use Microsoft Word and Excel to prepare shipment documents.
- Plan, price, optimize, coordinate, and execute daily inbound/outbound shipments of materials and material handling supply requirements with carriers drivers for material pickups from clients
- Assist with planning logistics strategies and establishing standard logistics processes and tools.
- Monitor contract and acquisition logistics activities for compliance with standard processes.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and logistics issues and participates in developing solutions such as re-allocation of resources or modifying manufacturing, business development or supply chain processes.
- Integrate learning and services from/with customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service and industry groups to continuously improve competitive position.
- Interact with customers via phone and email re: pick-up and material handling needs, distribution/shipping/billing inquiries and coordination with respective teams.
- Ensure materials are moving through system accurately (received, shipped). Tracking customer requests and booking shipments/inventory in appropriate databases and spreadsheets related to customers in assigned geography.
- Work directly with the operations team and clients to investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies as required,
- Liaise with company operations in multiple provinces daily to ensure logistics priorities and/or issues are identified and dealt with in a timely matter. Know when and to whom to escalate.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and proficient hands-on experience of Microsoft Word and Excel Spreadsheets.
- Prior Logistics experience, including scheduling and coordinating multiple trucks and drivers is ideal but not a requirement,
- Experience in WMS, CRM or ERP system preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written with very strong customer service orientation.
- An effective problem solver.
- Great attention to detail.
- Known for high standards of personal integrity and work ethic, and being a team player,
- Strong organizational skills demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
