Job OVerview
- Manage operational accounting team
- oversight and review of AP, AR, G/L, payroll, and statutory reporting.
- accurate and timely completion of monthly financial statements for multiple entities in compliance with ASPE GAAP
- Period, quarter, and year-end close process
- Direct the monthly close process, including balance sheet account reconciliations and analytical review procedures, and variance analysis
- Assisting the CFO with analysis and forecasting for cash flow
- Assist the CFO in managing the external accountants during the year-end review process
- Oversee the training and development of the financial accounting team
- Complete draw packages needed to finance projects
- Review closing Statement of Adjustments
- Monthly budget analysis on a project level
- performing/reviewing tax payments and ensuring timely payment to the government. (i.e. WSIB, HST, etc) and ensuring that these accounts are reconciled each and every period
- Improve policies and procedures related to data integrity and management
