You are a forward thinker who applies your technical insight and analytical abilities to develop novel solutions. You effectively manage stress while remaining alert and calm and guide others to willingly cooperate and engage. You work well with “teams and machines” and excel in effective and positive communications both written and orally.
As the Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the maintenance and production departments during daily operations, area shutdowns, and turnarounds. You’ll be part of an experienced team, analyzing and implementing opportunities for improving safety, productivity, product quality, and profitability. You will manage all facets of new construction including major maintenance and capital projects while evaluating equipment problems and failures to determine the “root cause”. This role has many moving parts, both literally and figuratively. You are comfortable with conflict and will use these skills to navigate while you work with power and recovery, power engineering, and multiple stakeholders.
This role promotes a healthy work/life balance, and you will enjoy the benefits of a 4-day work week.
Ideally, you are already equipped with a Mechanical Engineering degree, are either a member of, or eligible to register with EGBC and have or are working towards your P.Eng. Your experience working on power boilers and turbines will really “fine-tune” your resume. Pulp experience is helpful, but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
If you are a motivated, flexible, and resourceful leader who has a creative yet pragmatic approach to problem-solving, hit that “apply” button today!
