Job Description

As a Project Manager with the company, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate and lead project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project profitability.
• Oversee project progress and ensure adherence to project timelines, identifying and addressing potential delays or issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure project specifications are met and design changes are communicated effectively.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to maintain a safe work environment.
• Prepare and present progress reports, project updates, and key performance indicators to senior management and clients.
• Foster positive relationships with clients, addressing their concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Anticipate potential risks and implement effective risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
• Manage project documentation, contracts, and permits, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Skills and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a successful track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate diverse project teams.
• Proficient in project management software and tools, such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Sound understanding of safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
• Ability to analyze complex project data, make data-driven decisions, and present clear reports to stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Job Type: Full-time Permanent Hours: 9 am – 5 pm Monday to Friday Location: Toronto
