Department Summary
The department of Oncology was founded in 1993 to foster an integrated, comprehensive bench to bedside cancer program in Northern Alberta, promoting the seamless transition from discovery science through translational and clinical research to the best cancer care for Albertans.
Oncology provides a wide range of educational programs, including a graduate program with two specialization streams – Cancer Sciences and Medical Physics; three accredited residency training programs; and the undergraduate Radiation Therapy program.
Position Summary
The Training Programs Assistant (TPA) is the first point of contact for all visitors to the Oncology Office. The TPA is accountable for ensuring smooth day to day operations despite competing deadlines. Additionally, is responsible for the administration activities supporting the department’s education programs. Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
