The role is accountable for Moneris’ national account revenue, including selling payment processing, value-added services and solutions offered by Moneris, growth, and profitability on national account clients. This includes signing contracts for merchant services, developing a pipeline of prospects and leads and responding to RFP’s as assigned. For optimum success in this role, taking initiative, resourcefulness, building collaborative relationships, being authentic, flexible and adaptable are essential.
Note: The role is based in British Columbia, with some travel required as part of the role.
You will be accountable for:
• Prospecting new clients that have been determined to be national size prospects.
• Selling an array of products and services offered by Moneris to meet the needs and requirements of net new merchants.
• Creating proposals and presentations targeted at solving business needs of prospects.
• Negotiating pricing, contract terms and conditions to ensure that pricing and terms reflect the achievement of corporate goals.
• Utilizing a consultative sales approach, proactively consult with clients, ensuring achievement of individual financial goals and targets driven from organization goals and targets.
• Staying current and educating clients on industry trends, competition, competitive issues and products, and the card services industry.
Your experience includes:
• Degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related field.
• 5 – 7 years of strategic sales and/or business development, with a track record of strong sales results.
• Demonstrated track record of developing client relationships and presenting to C-suite executives.
• Strong client-service orientation, negotiation and communication skills, and networking abilities.
• Industry knowledge to understand payments market and various business and pricing models considered an asset.
