Position Overview: The Vice President of Operations will be a crucial member of our senior leadership team, responsible for strategizing, planning, and executing manufacturing operations to achieve operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the operations strategy in alignment with the company’s overall objectives and growth targets.
- Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication of goals and expectations.
- Process Optimization:
- Identify areas for process improvement and operational efficiency enhancements.
- Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant methodologies to streamline operations and reduce waste.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of operational initiatives.
- Resource Management:
- Oversee resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and facilities, to maximize productivity and meet production schedules.
- Collaborate with HR and talent acquisition teams to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement and maintain robust quality control processes to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards.
- Develop and refine quality assurance protocols to minimize defects and uphold product integrity.
- Supply Chain Management:
- Work closely with procurement and supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize lead times.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective material sourcing.
- Health and Safety:
- Enforce a strong safety culture across the manufacturing operations, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
- Implement safety protocols and training programs to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation, empowering teams to propose ideas, and implementing best practices.
- Lead and support initiatives that enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction.
- Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the operations budget, tracking expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring efficient resource utilization.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in senior operations leadership roles within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, supply chain management, and health/safety regulations.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Results-oriented approach with a history of achieving operational targets and KPIs.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for operations management.
