The Role

We have an immediate opening for an Accounts Receivable Clerk based at our Delta Office. This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to grow their career and is seeking entry-level work within accounting.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and processing of monthly EFT files
• Handling and organizing of cash, cheques, electronic payment receipts, and post-dated cheques
• Performing collection procedures including receipting and allocating of payments
• Entering charges/invoices, deposits, refunds, cancellations, and reversals
• Processing, verifying, and posting of payment portal (i.e. credit card) receipts
• responding to owner, council, or manager queries in a timely manner
• Updating owner/tenant ledgers and information in the accounting software
• Sending out monthly arrears statements/letters
• Ensuring timely follow-up on arrears communications
• General administration tasks including but not limited to processing incoming/outgoing mail, data entry, and filing

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in Accounts Receivable preferred; strata and/or rental experience is an asset but not required
• Accurate data entry and strong attention to detail
• Exceptional numeracy skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and the ability to learn new software
