Our client, a self-performing Developer that specializes in High Rise projects across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), is seeking a highly motivated High Rise Site Superintendent to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the project from start to finish, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Your new role
The Site Superintendent will complete the construction project schedule, coordinate labour and materials, maintain cost controls, and maintain all site safety policies
You will ensure that all work is compliant with drawings, specifications, and schedules and contract documents. The daily construction log will be maintained by the Site Superintendent as well as all meeting minutes from subcontractor and safety meetings. You will prepare schedules with construction labourers and sub trades, monitor all quality of work and coordinate all on-site activities pertaining to low rise residential construction projects.
Responsibilities:
– Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction site
– Ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards
– Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and that the site is safe for workers and visitors
– Manage and oversee all subcontractors and vendors
– Coordinate with the project manager to ensure that the project is progressing according to plan
– Coordinate with the design team to ensure that all plans and specifications are followed
– Attend and participate in all necessary meetings, including project progress meetings and safety meetings
– Maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
– Prepare and submit reports on project progress to the project manager
What you’ll need to succeed
To qualify for this job, you must possess a minimum of 5 years work experience as a Site Superintendent specializing in High Rise residential construction projects. You must have a fluent understanding of current construction practices, and the ability to guide safe work practices in a high pressure environment while maintaining project quality, schedule, and budget
