Connective Intelligence has partnered with a construction company in Brantford that is opening a new division and adding to their already impressive team with an A/P, A/R associate. If you are looking to jump in with a very busy company that is on it’s way to new, explosive growth this is the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Updating AP Subtrade contract summaries c/w CO’s
  • Producing AP Job specific Supplier summaries
  • Enter AP invoices and payments in Accounting Software
  • Produce cheque runs and manual one-off cheques.
  • Analyze job costing for accuracy.
  • Produce AR detailed CM Client Invoices
  • Produce AR Percentage completed Client Invoices
  • Updating AR Client Statements of Account
  • Utilize job costing for accuracy of AR Invoicing
  • Enter AR Invoices and Receipts in Accounting Software

Required Skills/Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting
  • Post Secondary Education, College/University in accounting preferred.
  • Previous Construction experience would be an asset.
  • Payroll and HR experience would be an asset but not a requirement.
  • Perform accounting calculations accurately; identify discrepancies and errors to resolve them.
  • Strong ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures is a must along with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles
  • Good math, computation skills and ability to identify accounting discrepancies.
  • Excellent organizing abilities and administrative skills
  • Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information.
  • Demonstrated analytical / problem-solving skills.
