Arrow Workforce Solutions Looking for Accountant at Laval, Quebec, Canada Full Time

Tenure – Full Time, Permanent

Location – Montreal-Nord, QC

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise AP and AR
• Delivery month end closing procedures and bank reconciliation daily
• Sales tax filing
• GL analysis
• Fix and set amortization update
• Follow with AI and AP aging to make sure the suppliers are paid in time and our collections are collected on time
• Bookkeeping for various accounts, including credit card
• Submit weekly and monthly sale report
• Reconcile ledger accounts on a monthly basis with necessary documents
• Prepare bank reconciliation on daily basis, forming daily bank position report
• Prepare and file GST and QST reports, ensuring refund claimed is up to date
• Update fixed asset amortization schedule
• Oversee and review the routine accounting task, including AR and AP, coordinating with our suppliers and clients to make sure payment and collection on time, ensuring cashflow runs smoothly.
• Lead the month-end process to ensure actual results are documented and captured correctly;
• Identify and explain any deviations from forecasts.
• Cooperate with year end audit
• Work with the government requests, including CDC, CRA, RQ, statistics Canada
• Work closely with all areas in assisting with financial aspects, assisting when needed
• Reports to CFO

Requirements:

• CPA designation, an asset.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to deliver effective presentations.
• Prior experience in a small to medium-sized business (SMB) environment, overseeing day-to-day and strategic issues, is crucial.
• Solid understanding and recent experience with QuickBooks, including inventory and purchase orders.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening).
• Proficiency in analytical, quantitative, and social skills.
• Bilingual – English/French
