Automotive painter.
An Automotive Painter meticulously applies coats of paint, decals, and other finishes to cars, trucks, and other vehicles. Responsibilities include surface preparation, color mixing, and matching, ensuring aesthetic appeal and corrosion resistance.
Responsibilities:
- Apply paint coats to vehicles according to customer specifications
- Blend and mix paint to match original color
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking
- Inspect painted vehicles for quality and completeness
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction with paint job
- Assist with other tasks in the auto body shop as needed
Requirements:
- Two years of experience at least.
- Skilled in automotive painting techniques and procedures
- Experience in mixing and matching paint colors to achieve desired results
- Knowledge of different types of paints and their applications
- Ability to prepare and clean surfaces for painting
- Proficiency in using paint spraying equipment and tools
- Attention to detail and ability to identify imperfections in finished products
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
