DNV Looking for Sector Manager North Americas for Aerospace and Automotive at Guelph, Ontario, Canada Full Time

DNV Business Assurance North America is seeking a Sector Manager for the Aerospace and Automotive Sector . The selected candidate will be expected to manage the team of auditors and contractors.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and support auditor staff, including Annual Goal
• Ability to attract Aerospace and Automotive qualified resources in the market
• Ability to identify future resources and attract them to DNV (Auditors-In-Training)
• Understand resource needs and support hiring and onboarding processes of new auditors
• Participate in recruitment process (review resumes and determine possible TA’s with technical)
• Significant market knowledge, able to identify trends and position DNV with evolving market segments
• Ability to engage at all levels in complex matrix organizations
• Ensure DNV Business Assurance visibility within internal and external clients and customers, managing customer relationship to improve retention, handling and monitoring customer feedbacks and complaints
• Capacity planning based on market trends
• Process, Sector Meetings, and Annual Training
• Actively participate in progression/utilization meetings
• Complete required competency documents and support development & maintenance for new and existing auditors
• Support clients and Customer Service Specialists for any issues that arise regarding auditor performance
• Technical Support between auditors and the Global Certification Unit
• Run specific reports to ensure Technical Review timeliness
• Monitor Non-conformity status in OASIS (Aerospace)
• Billable audit days (20%) (Qualified auditor only)

Position Qualifications

What is Required

• Minimum five (5) years’ management experience with demonstrable ability to manage team KPI’s, monitor and provide performance feedback to individual members of team, and provide direct support to clients as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent experience
• Five (5) years’ work experience with the relevant certification scheme; AS9100, AS9110, AS 9120, and IATF
• Demonstrate the ability to interpret technical requirements and/or accreditation rules and apply them to their respective industry during administrative/technical reviews of documentation
• Individual must have high initiative, be positive, detail oriented, be adaptive and receptive to change, work well under pressure within tight deadlines and capable of working with minimal direction while ensuring quality output
• Ability to think creatively and to work well both as part of a team and as an individual contributor
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Teams
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and can rent and drive a car and travel on public conveyances when required
