The Opportunity:
ML6 has partnered with a leading real estate developer in the lower mainland in their search for anAccounting Associate to join a growing team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Collect and record receipt of all invoices, and statements, matching PO’s & CO’s.
- Manage and process all invoices and payments for all development projects.
- Process all change orders, purchase orders and unit upgrades through the accounting software.
- Correspond with vendors/trades as required.
- Track all progress payments and contract payments with trade, supplier, and consultant reconciliation forms.
- Assist the manager of finance with current project cost reporting, including reconciling bank, loans, bonds, accounts payable, accounts receivable, GST reporting, and preparing WIP report for bank financing.
- Assist the manager of finance with monthly and quarterly project reports, including tracking profits and equity, and preparing cost of sales report.
- Assist with year end reports for all companies under the company umbrella.
- Enter all sales contracts and sale proceeds statements from home purchasers.
- Take regular classes and upgrade training for Sage 300 accounting software.
- Assist the VP of Finance with regular reporting to banks and other financial institutions.
- Work with the sales and marketing team to assist with customer relations.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful:
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Proficiency with Sage 300 software
- Interest in the real estate industry
- Ability to take initiative
