Bayview Medical Centre is a medical clinic located in North York comprising of family physicians, registered nurses and registered practical nurses, and other healthcare professionals. We are currently seeking a part-time permanent nurse to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Triage patients, conduct screening, and manage appointment schedules with the medical receptionists
- Perform basic nursing skills, measure vitals, administer immunization and medications/treatments prescribed by the doctor, provide injections, obtain electrocardiogram, apply dressings
- Order and maintain clinic supplies and equipment, and vaccine inventory
- Sterilize instruments, sanitize examination/procedural rooms between use, and documentation
Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree in nursing (BScN) or equivalent from a recognized institution
- Current registration with the Colleges of Nursing of Ontario and in good standing
- Clinical experience in primary care setting (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates knowledge of basic nursing duties and problem solving skills
- Well organized and able to multi-task
- Demonstrates a commitment to excellence in patient care
- Works effectively with other professionals in an inter-disciplinary setting to maintain a healthy and positive work environment
- Proficient computer skills, training provided for EMR software (P&P data systems)
- Available to work flexible hours including evenings and coverage for vacation and sick days
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
