The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our growing Enterprise Risk Consulting team as an ERM Consultant. This is an opportunity to engage some of the biggest risks facing our clients (and the world) today including climate risk, cyber risk, business continuity, and Environmental Social Governance (ESG) issues.
This role provides the candidate with an opportunity to join the Enterprise Risk Consulting team, within the Strategic Risk Consulting practice. This is an innovative and engaging consulting practice that has grown rapidly over the last decade. We currently work with some of the world’s largest and complex organizations to manage their strategic risks. The role is highly collaborative working not only with clients and fellow ERM consultants, but also with climate specialists, actuaries, workplace safety specialists, engineers, experts, and other specialists throughout WTW.
We are looking for a consultant with 2 years’ experience to help build out our offerings with corporate clients. We are looking for an individual who has broad risk management and consultancy experience to contribute to the growth and development of our services and to deliver risk management solutions to our clients. A significant proportion of our client engagements are climate transition risk related; therefore climate or sustainability experience would be beneficial.
As a consulting role, this job revolves around meeting our client needs through the delivery of projects and advice. The role is based in the Montreal office and includes travel for team and client meetings.
Principal Duties / Responsibilities
Delivery and project management: of a range of Enterprise Risk Consulting client projects include but are not limited to: Cyber Risk Assessments, Enterprise Risk Assessments, ESG Risk Assessments, Strategic Risk Quantification using WTW modelling tools, Enterprise Risk Maturity Assessments, Risk Tolerance and Financial Statement Analysis, and Risk Governance consultancy.
Proposition development and Sales: Contribute to the development of materials, tools and methodologies to support our transition and enterprise risk proposition for use in client meetings, engagements, events, and broader thought leadership. Lead sales lifecycle for local clients including assessment of opportunity and client need, pitch, and project scoping.
Innovation and Operational Improvements: Bring ideas for new offerings or improvements to existing offerings, including use of technology to drive efficiency for both the team and our clients.
Requirements
At least two years industry experience working in a risk management or consulting role.
Excellent written and oral communication skills including ability to summarize and present technical information to non-technical audiences.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; a key part of the role will be to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and to facilitate workshops and present.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multi-task effectively and work with a solution driven approach
Self-starter and intellectual curiosity with ability and drive to innovate
Strong qualitative and quantitative analytic skills, with engineering, finance or economic experience preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills in English and French for all candidates residing in Quebec
