The Innovation Initiatives Coordinator is accountable for the coordination, management, and administration of projects and initiatives under the pawâcikêwikamik Innovation Collective department at SIIT. This position will positively promote and create an environment that demonstrates SIIT’s vision, mission, and mandate.

The Innovation Initiatives Coordinator is accountable for planning, coordinating and executing Innovation and entrepreneurship projects and events and assisting with initiatives led by the Director, Innovation. This position will oversee all aspects of the Greg Yuel Fellowship Program and as well as other projects and events, including administration, project development, monitoring, and completing evaluations. This position provides additional support as required.

Required Qualifications and Experience: Successful completion of a business related post-secondary degree, combined with at least three years of relevant experience. Must be able to use the Microsoft 365 Suite of Programs – Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook. Project management experience is an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Knowledge of First Nations cultures and organizations would be an asset. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation as travel is required. This position is subject to accept or handle monies on behalf of SIIT, therefore, a cleared criminal record check (CRC) is required.
