Position Description

We are hiring a Recruiter who will be responsible for recruiting efforts across Mechanism and a broad range of its portfolio companies. We are looking for a full-stack recruiter with a background in startup recruiting who has a proven track record of filling various roles across multiple departments.

You’ll work in a highly collaborative environment, fostering strategic partnerships with hiring managers and portfolio company CEOs. You’ll build out and optimize recruiting processes for efficiency and a best-in-class candidate experience.

You’ll consult with top CEOs and drive impact from the onset. You’ll build and scale interview processes at the earliest stage of a startup.

What You’ll Do

  • Actively find and hire awesome people for Mechanism and its portfolio companies. As a full-stack recruiter, you’ll work closely with Founders and hiring managers to define roles, craft job descriptions, and actively outbound-source, vet, and hire talent across all of our rapidly-growing teams.
  • Create an efficient interview process and positive candidate experience by setting expectations, preparing interviewers, communicating timely updates, and providing actionable feedback.
  • Develop strong partnerships with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, proactively set expectations, and optimize for the best hiring decision.
  • Manage the recruiting and people system, Lever, leveraging other job boards and tools as needed.
  • Proactively identify and implement Recruiting and People Operations initiatives as needed.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3-4 years of recruiting experience in a high growth startup environment, working with multiple stakeholders across many departments.
  • Track record of providing a high-touch, positive candidate experience; we want every candidate (whether hired or not) to have a great experience with Mechanism and PortCo brands.
  • Critical thinking skills and an ability make strong recommendations for best recruiting practices.
  • Experience hiring for international remote teams.
  • Creative sourcing skills within LinkedIn Recruiter and other tooling.
  • Ability to create and implement recruiting processes across numerous business models and industries.
  • Experience with Lever is a plus.

Location and Time Commitment

We are fully remote – you can work wherever you’re most productive. This role is full-time and will need to overlap with US EST for the majority of the workday. There will likely be occasional travel for in-person strategy sessions with the leadership team and other key stakeholders.

Our compensation packages are designed to make this your dream job for the short and long term. Each compensation package is tailored to suit your priorities and can include base, equity (in all of our active portfolio companies and any that are launched during your tenure at Mechanism), and performance bonus based on the success of our portfolio companies.
