As there’s such strong demand for our services, our continued growth means we can offer you a genuine chance to grow your career with us.About the role of Support WorkerBeing a Support Worker, whilst hugely rewarding, will be challenging. You’ll work with very complex young people who often display extreme behaviours, these include but are not limited to: severe aggression, biting, punching, verbal abuse, sexualized behaviours, self-harm and absconding.We understand and support their challenges. Many of the young people we support have been through the care system having been repeatedly let down, so can be distrusting of adults. You’ll work as part of a small team to support and help them develop, grow and realize their ambitions.About you as a Support WorkerAs physical restraint can be involved, you’ll need to be fit and are not fazed by aggression. However, the overriding traits we look for are that you care, you’re patient and you’re kind.You’ll ideally be working in the care sector but yearning for much better career progression. We’ll also consider people who have experience in the adventurous training sector, cadet instruction, armed forces leavers, teaching or healthcare. Ultimately you’ll be a kind person who cares.You’ll have your own transport as locations are often away from your home area so you’ll also be happy to travel to the location and stay overnight working 4 days on /4 days off shift patterns.What we can offer
