Job Summary
The Junior Accountant will work closely with the VP Finance and Senior accounting team at INK Entertainment’s head office. The team is responsible for managing all financial and payroll transactions, tracking company expenditures, and managing the entire accounting cycle for the company.

Duties & Responsibilities
Perform delegated tasks from VP Finance
Support Senior Accountants in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly financial reports as required
Update financial data in databases to ensure the accuracy of information
Assist with reviewing payroll records and expenses, among other items as assigned
Assist in developing and processing of monthly financial statements that include profit and loss statements, cash flow records, income statements, balance sheets, and other financial statements as per INK’s legal, financial, and accounting guidelines
Perform reconciliations, updating accounts payable and receivable and issuing invoices
Process financial entries to ensure a proper recording of all business transactions
Qualifications
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required
Minimum 1 year experience as an accountant or similar role
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
Related certification (i.e., CPA) or working towards certification considered an asset
Proven knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
Previous working experience with accounting software
Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
