Are you a payroll expert looking for your next challenge? Our client’s team in downtown Toronto is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist! As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll be the backbone of our payroll services, ensuring accuracy and compliance in every transaction. From managing bi-weekly payrolls to responding to payroll inquiries and more, you’ll play a vital role in the team’s success.
Requirements:

– Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP)
– 4-5 years of experience using ADP WorkforceNow module
– Proficiency in standard payroll principles, legislative requirements, and applying Collective Agreements and legislation to payroll processes
– Proficient with various computerized payroll systems, and MS Office software, including ADP, EZ Labour, word processing, database management, and spreadsheet applications
Responsibilities:

– Respond to a variety of payroll inquiries from Agency Managers and staff, applying established processes, Collective Agreements, and payroll legislation
– Process bi-weekly payroll, guaranteeing compliance with legal and policy standards
– Review pre-processing reports before transmission to ADP, addressing any discrepancies promptly
– Execute payroll runs and review post-payroll reports for accuracy
– Validate Employee Change Order (ECO) forms, ensuring accuracy, proper authorization, and compliance
– Update payroll/benefits database under the Payroll Supervisor’s guidance, making adjustments and corrections as needed
– Provide guidance to Attendance Coordinators on staff transaction policies and verify their accuracy occasionally
– Perform other assigned duties
