Hybrid mode : 3 days at the Laval office and 2 days remotely

THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic and strategically minded individual to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team as a Senior Analyst, FP&A. Working closely with the Data & Analytics (D&A) and various initiative teams, this role is critical in providing a clear financial lens to business ideas and analytical findings. Reporting to the Senior Business Controller, FP&A, this role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate across departments, influence data-driven decisions, and contribute to the overall growth of the organization.

What You’ll Do

• Financial Modelling: Build financial models to map potential outcomes of business cases to financial statements (P&L, FCF, etc.). Identify and review key drivers and review assumptions with business partners. Collaborate with D&A team to plan analytics workstreams in order to test against financial models.
• Financial Analysis: Utilize financial expertise to assess the financial impacts of projects and strategic initiatives through both financial data analysis and analytics findings from D&A team. Extrapolate conclusions to potential impact on overall company financials.
• Request Prioritization: Analyze potential financial and strategic impacts of incoming D&A service requests to guide D&A prioritization efforts.
• Communication and Relationship Building: Effectively present financial models and analyses to internal stakeholders. Ensure financial and analytical concepts and findings are communicated into clear and concise messages utilizing various mediums.
• Forecasting and Budgeting: Integrate financial models to overall company Business Planning cycles. These include revenue, margins, OPEX and CAPEX implications.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance data-related processes, tools, and workflows. Collaborate with the Data & Analytics team to drive innovation and efficiency improvements.

What You’ll Need

Education :

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. CFA or CPA strongly preferred.

Experience :

• 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, business analysis, investment banking

Knowledge and skills:

• Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, including financial modeling, forecasting and accounting concepts. Experience with financial planning and consolidation tools an asset (e.g. Longview, PDI, JDE).
• Software: Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Smartsheet. Basic knowledge of data concepts, analytics tools, and visualization platforms (e.g., SQL, Power BI).
• Data Proficiency: Possess a good understanding of data concepts, analytics methodologies, and data visualization techniques. Leverage this knowledge to facilitate discussions between business and D&A teams.
• Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Interpersonal Skills: Adept at building and nurturing relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Innovative: Demonstrate ability to identify and drive process improvements and innovative solutions.

Language skills:

• Bilingualism is mandatory (French and English) in both writing and speaking.
