Shift Auto Group, Eastern Canada’s fastest growing automotive retailer, is seeking an Accounting Assistant with excellent teamwork skills to join our administrative team. Our company offers a friendly working environment and atmosphere. This role is at our Head Office in Fredericton.
Shift Auto Group is headquartered in Fredericton, New Brunswick and consists of New Car Dealerships (Volvo Cars New Brunswick, Fredericton Mitsubishi) as well as three St. Croix Auto used car dealerships (Fredericton, St. Stephen, St. George, New Brunswick). Started just over three years ago in 2018, ReCar currently has 6 locations (Fredericton, Saint John, Moncton, Woodstock in New Brunswick, Stratford (Charlottetown), PEI, and St. John’s, NL), with 2+ more locations opening in 2022 (ReCar Halifax opening in the Fall, with more to be announced).
In this role, you will participate in all functional areas of the accounting group and will report to the Director of Accounting and Finance.
Responsibilities will include:
- Data entry
- Accounts payable
- Cost reporting
- Sales reporting
- Account reconciliations
Requirements:
- One year experience in an accounting position
- Strong computer skills
- The ability to work well with others as part of our dynamic team is a must
- Experience with Excel would be an asset
- Experience in a dealership environment is not required, but would be an advantage
This position has weekday hours with competitive wages and benefits including medical plan.
