Sport Chek Looking for Design Coordinator ( 18 month Contract) at Calgary, Alberta, Canada Full Time

The Store Design department of Mark’s and Sport Chek is searching for the right applicant to fill a critical position in our Calgary head office. The Design Coordinator will be responsible in providing a pivotal support role in the team, including, and not limited to CAD drawings and 3D modeling.

• The creation of retail fixture plans
• Frequent communication and coordination between procurement, construction, and stakeholders to ensure standards and timelines are adhered to.
• Production of design and construction drawings using AutoCAD.
• Expert of mechanical, electrical, architectural drawings review and coordination.
• Produce 2D and 3D presentations and renderings when required.
• Interior and exterior graphics coordination
• Special projects and new initiatives as required.
• Overall support to the team when required.

What You Bring

• College diploma or university degree in a related field
• Atleast 10 years of related work experience in retail, design, and drawings
• Proficient in SketchUp, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Proficient in AutoCAD & Revit
• Superior communication, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Ability to work in a highly flexible work environment in both remote and in-person collaborative office
• Creative and courageous, with the ability to manage in an environment of change and ambiguity to help us take bold, strategic moves in this rapidly evolving retail environment
• Energetic with strong verbal and visual communication skills
• Creative and inspirational thinker with the motivation to learn
• Must be proactive, detail orientated and take initiative as well as follow direction
