Autism Ontario is a charitable organization with a history of over 50 years representing the thousands of people on the autism spectrum and their families across Ontario. Made up of knowledgeable parents, professionals, and autistic self-advocates who can speak to the key issues that impact those with autism and their families, Autism Ontario is the province’s leading source of information and referral on autism, and one of the largest collective voices representing the autism community. Members are connected through a volunteer network of seven regions throughout the Province of Ontario. Title: Program Assistant
Salary: $40,000 – $45,000 per year
Hours: 37.5 hours per week including 2 evenings per week and 2 Saturday mornings
Reports to: Regional Program and Volunteer Coordinator West Region
Location: This position is on site at our Windsor Office – with support to Chatham-Kent, Sarnia-Lambton, Middlesex, Oxford, Huron-Perth
Duration: 12-month contract, with possibility of extension
Position Summary:
To work with the Regional Program and Volunteer Coordinator to implement programs and activities for children, youth and adults with Autism, and their families. To maintain the Anthony P. Toldo Multi-Purpose Experience. To work towards the goal of Autism Ontario, to create a supportive and inclusive Ontario for Autism, and build meaningful connections in the community through support, education, advocacy and awareness. The Program Assistant provides a superior/professional level of customer service to all internal and external stakeholders and the general public.
